Please join Mary Pilat, Ph.D., Associate Professor and visiting scholar from Purdue University, as she presents her nationally renowned Project Equality curricula on preventing rape and sexual violence. Dr. Pilat and her team created Project Equality as part of the CARe: Communities Against Rape Initiative of Indiana.
What is Project Equality?
Project Equality is a set of prevention education curricula targeting youths in grades 10-12 and 7-9 with sexual-assault-prevention education, and targeting grades 5-6 with bullying-prevention education as an introduction to talking about and preventing other abusive behavior. Each of the three curricula includes seven or eight 45-minute sessions with comprehensive Facilitator’s guide and student workbooks, included in this FREE training.
Who Benefits?
All youth can benefit from decision-making, problem-solving, communication skills, leadership, and community development.
What’s Unique? Project Equality activities utilize the Experiential Learning Model to create a stimulating learning environment.
Who Can Implement Project Equality?
4-H clubs, after-school programs, local youth clubs, community and reception centers, scouting programs, group homes, and church groups can implement Project Equality. In fact, once educators attend the required facilitator training, almost any group can use it.
